Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sound Engineer to join our team for technical arts productions. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to design and manage sound elements that enhance the overall audiovisual experience of multimedia projects.
Responsibilities:
- Sound Design: Design and create sound effects, ambient sounds, and Foley for multimedia projects, including films, animations, and interactive media.
- Audio Mixing: Mix and balance dialogue, music, and sound effects to achieve optimal audio quality and clarity in final productions.
- Recording Sessions: Record and edit dialogue, music, and sound effects during studio and location recording sessions.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and operate audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Address technical issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth recording and mixing processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, composers, and musicians to achieve the desired audiovisual experience.
- Post-Production: Edit, synchronize, and integrate audio tracks with visual elements using editing software.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a sound engineer, audio mixer, or related role in technical arts productions is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in sound design principles, audio mixing techniques, and digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of audio equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges in real-time.
